Bluesky Label Checker

Bluesky has no official shadowban. Moderation shows up as labels: Bluesky's moderation service can mark an account or post (for example as spam, or hidden), and apps then hide, blur or warn about it. Accounts under moderation action can also drop out of search. This checker looks at both.

A label is a short public tag that a labeler attaches to an account or a post. Bluesky runs its own labeler, and anyone can run a community labeler that people subscribe to. Each labeler says how serious each of its labels is, which this checker uses to separate warnings from purely informational labels.

This checker shows how many accounts block an account, and which moderation lists and starter packs it has recently been added to, but never who the individual blockers are. Blocks are public records on the AT Protocol, but listing blockers by name invites harassment.

A list of accounts that anyone can create, which other people can subscribe to in order to block or mute everyone on it at once. The checker shows how many accounts block through each moderation list, which is how far the list actually reaches. Subscribing to a list as a mute is private, so mutes cannot be counted.

For a label from Bluesky Moderation, use the appeal option in the Bluesky app (Settings → Moderation, or the label notice on your profile). For a community labeler, contact the labeler's account directly; each one runs its own process.
