This page explains the different charts and statistics displayed on BSkyCheck dashboards.
Live Tracking -> New or Updated Bluesky Users
This card shows users registering or updating their handles on Bluesky in real-time, as the events happen.
What You're Seeing
- Live feed of new users or handle updates
- Connection status to the AT Protocol event stream: green (connected), yellow (trying to connect), red (error)
- Today's total user count. New or updated handles for today (US central)
- Current growth rate expressed as users per second (only the lastest 30 handles are considered)
- Visual VU meter showing activity intensity: max on the Vu meter is 6 user per sec
- Bot activity: Identify unusual signup patterns, including time correlations, naming patterns, and registration rate anomalies. Based on number of detection in the last 5 mins: green (0), yellow (1), red (3+)
The system collects this data from the Bluesky Jetstream API every second. It includes both new and updtaed (like a user registering his domain for instance) handles.
Live Tracking -> Verified Domain Handles
This card displays handles that use verified domains instead of the default .bsky.social. These are categorized by type and show when the handle was registered or last updated.

Domain categorization happens automatically based on TLDs and specific domain patterns.

This card on the Stats page provides key growth metrics and projections for Bluesky user adoption. It focuses on trends across different timeframes and provides context for the platform's expansion.
What You're Seeing
- Yesterday's (US central) total new users
- Weekly momentum percentage: % of last week total number fo new user / this week total number
- Monthly momentum percentage: % of last month total number fo new user / this month total number
- Annual growth rate: at last week growth rate what % increase will bluesky archieve for a full year
- Current user count: last number of users (Jazco data are used for accuracy)
- 7-day averages (per day, per hour, per second)
Growth rates are calculated by comparing current periods to previous equivalent periods.

This section on the Jazco page provides alternative metrics for Bluesky growth sourced from Jazco's data collection methodology, offering a comparison point to the official AT Protocol data.
What You're Seeing
- Total user count according to https://bsky.jazco.dev/stats
- Post, follow, and like totals according to https://bsky.jazco.dev/stats
- User growth statistics for the current day
- Current growth rate in users per second
- Engagement metrics like posts and likes per user
- Projections based on current growth trends
Jazco uses different data collection methods than BSkyCheck's direct AT Protocol monitoring, which can result in slightly different metrics (typically 3-4% overestimation on ATproto versus Jazco).

This tool analyzes the accounts you follow on Bluesky, providing detailed insights into your network connections and the posting behaviors of those you follow.
It works best with smaller account: following less than 5K, less than 20K followers.
For larger account...sorry, but you can find confort in the fact that you are part of the top 0.01 % bluesky users!

This tool provides detailed analytics about the accounts that follow you on Bluesky, helping you understand your audience and their engagement patterns.
It works best with smaller account: to keep the processing time reasonable only the first 15K followers are processed.
For larger account...sorry, but you can find confort in the fact that you are part of the top 0.01 % bluesky users!
